Achievements of Ben Sesse: While at Midland, Ben elevated the financial situation and academics of the university by instituting new policies that include spot quizzes, class attendance and prodigious fundraising. He was also the only senator to vote against the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act which addresses the abuse of heroin and opioid drugs by providing funds to the states for treatment and prevention programs and by making the anti-overdose drug Naloxonemore widely available to first responders and law enforcement agencies.
